HOW WE MET

Some say it’s a fairytale, some say it’s fate… but funnily enough, Nicole and Tyler did not meet in the United States! They met in Barcelona, Spain on a study abroad trip through Fresno State in 2018. Long story short, Ty’s luggage got lost by the airline, so he was in a foreign country, with nothing but the clothes on his back. Nicole offered to show him where the local market was to buy some necessities. That same night, they shared a pizza at a local restaurant, and the relationship evolved from there.

This picture, taken at Park Güell, is the first picture they ever took together and they only have it because Tyler photobombed Nicole (although she’s very grateful for that now!) After spending 2 weeks abroad, Nicole and Tyler became close friends after returning to the States. They decided to start dating in November and haven’t looked back since!

Nicole: Tyler is by far one of the funniest people I have ever met and has not stopped making me smile and laugh since we met in Barcelona. I could not ask for a better partner and cannot wait to marry him!

Tyler: It’s crazy. The very first words Nik ever said to me were “I can show you where the store is and we can get you deodorant and toothpaste.” Almost 5 years later, that same girl is now my partner for life. It doesn’t matter if we’re playing games, walking the dog, or having a heated discussion about what the best fruit is, it’s always a fun time. Nik is an amazing human, and an even better life partner.
